Founded by Yumi Nagaya, who hails from the picturesque mountain region of Nagano, Japan, brings her culture and heritage to your kitchen for you to try your way. Based in South Australia, Yumi is a proud local with a passion for making food a memorable and shared experience everyone can enjoy. Her love of fermentation began in her grandparents' kitchen, where the community would gather every winter to prepare enough miso to last the entire year. This love for authentic, homemade food has been passed down through generations and now inspires Yumi’s Pantry. Yumi's Pantry products are handcrafted using generations old fermentation methods.
